Report generation is performed with a selected criterion from the set of dropdown menus, summarizing AEZ results data. While “Summary Report” module summarized AEZ results for a selected single scenario, “Summary Report Comparison” module allows comparison of AEZ results of two selected scenarios. All summary reports can be generated under regional, provincial and district administrative levels.

As the social-economic and institutional factors play a crucial role, the availability and quality of land and water resources are essential for food production and food security. Agro-ecologicalZoning (AEZ) provides a framework for establishment of as partial inventory of land resources compiled from global or local environmental datasets, providing the spatial characteristics required for land productivity assessments for location-specific agro-ecological conditions. The land resources inventory includes multiple spatial layers of climate, soil, terrain, water,land cover, protected areas, population density, livestock density
Temperature regimes, solar radiation and soil moisture determine photosynthesis, which allows plants to accumulate dry matter throughout the plant development stages. Data on climatic requirements of crop growth, development and yield formation are the basis for the compilation of AEZ agro-climatic inventories using several climatic variables (e.g. temperature, precipitation, sunshine fraction, relative humidity). These inventories include agronomically relevant characteristics of prevailing thermal and moisture regimes, and growing periods. The summary of distribution of ten of these agro-climatic indicators are shown in this section with respect to land cover classes, moisture classes and altitude classes.
For the assessment of irrigated land productivity each crop growth cycle length is matched with the period having temperatures conducive for crop growth. The calculated potential agro-climatic yields are subsequently combined with a number of reduction factors directly or indirectly related to climate (e.g., pest and diseases), and with soil and terrain conditions. The reduction factors, which are successively applied to the potential yields, vary with crop type, the environment (in terms of climate, soil and terrain conditions), and depend on assumptions regarding level of inputs/management. This section provides the most comprehensive results on agro-ecological suitabilty and productivity in addition to climate, soil and terrain conditions.
